拆chai拆
(pocketni recommends that you can at least read the GB-2312 charset,as quite a few things in here will be in Chinese)
"你知道为什么这国家叫China? 我们在拆哪!"
"You know why we call this country China, right? We are chai na!"
Chai - literally, to tear things (in this sense, buildings) apart. The word carries many connnotations, especially in the modern sense, when it specifically refers to the government tearing down lots of old (and in some cases, irreplaceable) and historical housing in favor of building box-like new housing developments in its place.
An instance of chai, this one is in Sanliturn, near the expat bar scene. No word yet on what is going up in its place.
